Real Estate and Personal Property Taxes

• Notices are sent in December
• Delinquent taxes
  • Delinquent 1st half: May 1st
  • Delinquent 2nd half: September 1st
  • Delinquent real estate taxes and delinquent special assessments are advertised the first three full weeks in February in the Wayne Herald
  • Public sale of real estate is held the first Monday in March each year
  • County distress warrants are issued on delinquent personal taxes by November 1st of each year

Pay Real Estate and Personal Property

• Pay in person at the County Treasurer’s Office at 510 N Pearl Street in Wayne
• Place payment in the drop box on the north side of the courthouse during or after hours
• Online at Nebraska Taxes Online
